Charlotte Loveland

Charlotte Loveland, 82, of Abingdon, MD, passed away on January 7, 2015 at her home. Born in Aberdeen, MD, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Franklin and Hazel Lorraine Houck Gentry. She had worked for Bata Shoe Company and was an avid porcelain doll collector. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and working in the yard with her flowers. She was known for her sense of humor and was always there to help people whenever anyone needed it.

Ms. Loveland is survived by her son, Richard D. Head of Austin, TX; daughter, Susan Diane Head of Abingdon; brothers, Gardiner Gentry of Louisville, KY and Bower "Bo" Gentry of San Mateo, FL; sisters, Elsie Schreckingost of Bel Air, Ann Taylor of Oceanside, CA and Doris Greer of Essex; five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Sherry Ann Purcell and brother, Billie T. Gentry.

Pallbearers were Dean Smith, John Smith, Seth Saunders, Ron Greer, Zachary Hamilton and Michael Seaman.
