Charles T. Herring

Charles T. Herring, age 46, of Bel Air, MD, died on October 3, 2010 in St. Louis, Missouri. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of Yvonne May Hess Herring of Bel Air, MD and the late Charles Elmer Herring Jr. A graduate of Mt. Carmel High School in Essex, MD and St. Mary's College, he was a veteran of the U.S. Navy where he served as a gun machinist mate on the U.S.S. Puffer from September 1983-1985. He worked for Monro Brake and Muffler (Mr. Tire) as a training manager. He enjoyed reading, traveling, and loved his boys and family. He was a generous and giving person, always there in life for anyone in need. He was especially helpful to Sheila with love, support, and guidance of their two sons.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, who he married in 1998, Sheila McCole Herring of Bel Air, MD; sons, Ryan P. and Cody J. Harrington, of Bel Air, MD; brothers, Charles "Joe" J. Herring and wife, Rose M., of Forest Hill, MD and Charles "Mark" M. Herring and wife, Janice, of Joppa, MD; sister, Belinda L. Resh and husband, Michael, of Bel Air, MD; father-in-law, Donald V. McCole; sisters-in-law, Donna Norton and husband, Jeff, of Towson, MD and Dianne Bowen of Forest Hill, MD; brother-in-law, Steven McCole and wife, Dawn, of Bel Air, MD; godparents, Robert and Jean McCleary of Hanover, PA; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his mother-in-law, Dorothy Theresa Damiani McCole.

Pallbearers will be Joe Herring, Mark Herring, Steven McCole, Jeff Norton, Michael Resh, and William Gossman.
