CHARLES REGINAL RODEFER SR., age 93, of Bel Air, MD, died on October 11, 2006, at Bel Air Health and Rehabilitation, Bel Air, MD. Born in Roanoke, VA, he was the son of the late Robert Worthington and Myrtle Compton Rodefer and the husband of 71 years of Beulah Laura May Rodefer. He was the owner/operator of Bel Air Lumber Company until 1981. He was a fine cabinet maker, as well as furniture maker, and was a perfectionist. (The Aegis did a write up on his clock making.) He was a charter member and original deacon at Calvary Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Rodefer is survived by two sons, Charles R. Rodefer, Jr. of Bel Air, MD, and David H. Rodefer of Joppa, MD; two daughters, Jane L. Zehl of Bel Air, MD, and Margaret L. Leftridge of Edgewood, MD; one brother, Dale E. Rodefer of Ocean City, MD; one sister, Hazel Cherry of Bel Air, MD; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren; and a great great grandson.
