Charles Reed Dowell Sr.

Charles Reed Dowell Sr., a resident of Aberdeen, MD, died at the age of 80 on June 9, 2016 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. He was born in Sparta, NC to Mack Dowell and Izetta Rose (Burchett) Dowell. He worked at Glenangus Farm for 63 years and liked fishing, hunting, woodworking and working on old cars.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years Shirley Ann Dowell; his sons Charles Reed Dowell Jr. of Fries, VA and Larry Wayne Dowell of Rising Sun; his sisters Eloise Hagy of Darlington, Ruby Singleton of Forest Hill and Bonnie Hackler of Galax, VA; and his grandchildren Selena Goodson, Amber Burcham, Gabrielle, Meghan, Sarah and Deanna Dowell; and nine great-grandchildren.
