Charles "Chad" Offney, age 31, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away on May 12, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, adventure, and craftsmanship. Born in Havre de Grace, Maryland, Chad was the cherished son of Charles Offney and Stephanie Mach.
Chad's zest for life was evident in his passion for the great outdoors. An avid fisherman, hunter, and kayaker, he found solace and joy in nature's embrace. His love for the water was boundless, and he cherished every moment spent by the ocean, often indulging in his favorite pastime of crabbing.
Beyond his love for nature, Chad had a knack for mechanics and enjoyed fixing up cars, going four-wheeling, playing video games, and tinkering with his beloved 2004 Jeep.
Professionally, Chad was a dedicated entrepreneur who owned and operated his own construction business. Specializing in building decks for houses, he had a remarkable talent for bringing people's dream homes to life alongside his dedicated coworkers.
Chad's life was enriched by the love of his life, Emily Weaver. He shared a special bond with Luca Suter, whom he embraced as his own son. Chad's family extended beyond blood ties, as he held his stepmom, Gia Offney; sisters Chelsea (Kenny) Snyder, Peyton Mach, Sierra (Miller) Zajdel; nieces Devon Zajdel and Charlea Snyder; nephews Kenny Snyder and Cayde Zajdel; Cousins Chaz Price, Jax Price and Tessa Bull; Aunt Dawn Boller, childhood friends Brandon Long and Stevie Long, and Brother in Christ, Tommy Brandt, close to his heart.
In the quiet moments, Chad found companionship in his faithful cats, Yeti and Milo, and cherished his loyal dog, River, who stood by his side through life's ups and downs.
