Charles Maynard Stetler, 77, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed comfortably in his home, surrounded by the love of his wife and cherished family. A devoted husband, Charles is survived by his adoring wife, Sadie Morrison Stetler, whom he married on January 18, 1954. They were happily married for nearly 58 years.
Preceding him in passing, his parents, Lela and Charles Stetler of York, PA and by his cherished, 15-year-old granddaughter, Megan Boesch, of Bel Air, MD.
He was a graduate of Bel Air High School and served honorably in the Panama Canal Zone, in the 101st Airborne Division of the United States Army. Charles was a devout Christian and pastor, and served the Harford and Cecil County areas in ministry for nearly 50 years. He also founded Stetler Construction Company and in his retirement served, as Supervisor of Maintenance, for St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Havre de Grace and at Harford Senior Housing in Bel Air.
He is survived by his five doting daughters, Theresa Stetler and Donna Pearce of Lancaster, PA; Beverly Stetler, Jennifer Boesch and Sandra Stetler Andrews of Bel Air, MD; and one son, Charles Stetler, Jr. of North East, MD. Also, by seven grandchildren: Christina Rodriguez, of Shrewsbury, PA; Cassandra Kesselman of Millersville, PA; Stephanie Pearce Wagner of White Marsh, MD; Mark Andrews of Bel Air, MD; Shannon Parker, Lindsey Stetler and Andrea Stetler of North East, MD. As well as five great-grandchildren: Theodore, Alexander and Henry Rodriguez and Noah and Naomi Kesselman.
