CHARLES M. FLORA, age 67, of Bel Air, died at his home on December 3, 2002. Born in Roanoke, Virginia, he was the son of Martha Helen Crumpacker Flory of Montgomery, Illinois and the late Quentin J. Flora. He had retired after 35 years of service with G.M. working as a mechanical engineer. As a youth he was active in 4-H and judged livestock at national levels. He was an avid golfer, collected stamps and coins, enjoyed working outdoors in his yard, and traveling. He served as a Deacon at Christ Our King Presbyterian Church and was active in church affairs.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Flora is survived by his wife of 40 years, Carol A. Merrill Flora; one son, Michael S. Flora of New Windsor, Maryland; one daughter, Leslie A. Boyle of Mt. Airy; one brother, Rev. James S. Flora of Frederick; two grandchildren, Alyson Grace Flora and Tessa Layne Flora, both of New Windsor, Maryland.
