Charles J. Eshinsky

CHARLES ”SKEE” J. ESHINSKY, age 88, of Edgewood, died at his residence on January 20, 2004. Born in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late John and Tekla Borawska Eshinsky. He had retired after 34 years from Edgewood Arsenal where he worked as a machinist. He was a life member of the Chapter 1 Pearl Harbor Survivors Maryland Chapter, a past Commander, former service officer and life member of Post 17 American Legion of Edgewood; and managed the Post 17 Legion Baseball team for several years. He was active with the Legion in Edgewood supporting Boys State. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WW II and served as a ranger after the bombing of Pearl Harbor.

Mr. Eshinsky is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ethel R. Beynon Eshinsky; one daughter, Janet E. Anderson of Edgewood; two sisters, Marie Zniecki of Shenandoah, Pennsylvania; and Helen Beam of Springfield, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by nephews and nieces.


Honorary pallbearers will be: Edwin R. Prather and Tony Lombardi.
