Charles H. Thomas Jr.

September 22, 1967 — August 28, 2016

Charles H. Thomas, Jr. was born September 22, 1967 to Bertha Marlene and Charles H. Thomas, Sr. in Abingdon, Maryland.

He was at home when he passed away suddenly of health complications on August 28 2016. Junie, as he was fondly known, was a 1985 graduate of Joppatowne High School where he excelled in football and baseball. He then went on to West Chester University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on a full football scholarship. He was an excellent student at the school and was recognized for his high academic standards.

After completing college, Junie went to work for Quality Value Convenience (QVC, home shopping network) in their Fulfillment Department for many years. He left QVC to take a position with the Bechtel Corporation in Baltimore, Maryland in their Shipping Center to supply all the area hospitals with needed lifesaving materials.

Along with his mom and dad (the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Thomas Sr.), Junie was very active in the community and the Harford County NAACP. In fact, after his mom's passing he was instrumental in helping to establish a memorial education scholarship fund at Havre de Grace High School; namely the Marlene B. Thomas Memorial Scholarship, structured for outgoing seniors in Harford County. It was truly a blessing to have known such a caring and wonderful person as Junie and he will be sorely missed on this earth.

Charles H. Thomas, Jr. leaves to mourn his passing, 3 uncles, Edward Hoes of Annapolis, Maryland, Chester Thomas of Easton, Maryland and Dwight Thomas of Bear, Delaware; 3 aunts, Dolores Sasser and Geraldine Dill both of Easton, Maryland and Mary Alston of Brooklyn, New York; and a host of other relatives and friends. Junie also had a special cousin, Ty Lee, who catered to his every need.

May Junie forever Rest In Peace.
