Charles W. Gerber

Charles W. Gerber, 86, of Fallston, Maryland, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2024, at Senator Bob Hooper House in Forest Hill. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late Lester and Clarabell (Lewis) Gerber. He shared a loving marriage of 61 years with his wife, Mary Lou (Chucoski) Gerber.

Charles was a faithful member of St. Mark Catholic Church in Fallston. He dedicated his career to public service, retiring in 2004 from the Social Security Administration after nearly four decades of service.

Beyond his commitment to work and faith, Charles found joy in woodworking. He was a skilled craftsman who enjoyed creating beautiful and useful objects in his workshop. He also cherished time spent with a good book.

Charles is survived by his beloved wife, Mary; son, Charles W. Gerber, Jr.; daughter, Jacqueline Uphouse, and son in law Don; and cherished grandson, John Patrick Uphouse.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 16th, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at McComas Family Funeral Home in Bel Air, Maryland. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 17th, 2024, at 10:00 am at St. Mark Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Highview Memorial Gardens.

Charles's kindness, dedication, and love of creation will be deeply missed by his family and friends. May he rest in peace.
