Charles E. Doran, Sr.

Charles E. Doran Sr., age 73, of Edgewood, Maryland passed away on April 17, 2017 at the Perry Point VA Medical Center in Perryville, Maryland. Born in Joppa, Maryland, he was the son of Richard John and Ethel Marie (Krell) Doran. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served our country during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Lynx Motorcycle Club in Joppa, was a life member of the Joppa VFW and American Legion in Edgewood, and a former member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Bradshaw. He liked working in the garage, working on his old truck and motorcycle, going to tractor pulls and drag racing, fishing and hunting. In his younger years, he played softball and other sports.

Mr. Doran is survived by his wife of 54 years, Glenna C. Doran; son, Charles Edward Doran, Jr. and wife, Terri, of Freeland; brother, Richard J. Doran of Edgewood; sister, Anna Doran Brewster of Joppa; and grandchildren, Samantha Doran and Brent Doran both of Freeland, MD and Logan Doran of Greely, CO.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Melvin Doran, Marie Shifflett and Mary Kerns.
