Charles "Duffy" M. Duff, age 85, of Aberdeen, MD, passed away on October 7, 2014 at Harford Memorial Hospital in Havre de Grace, MD surrounded by family. Born in Havre de Grace, he is the son of the late Vernon Lee and Beatrice Viola Morris Duff. He retired in 1989 after 17 years of service as a mail carrier for the Aberdeen Post Office and 17 years as Post Master. He was a member of Aberdeen Fire Company for 62 years earning Life Membership during which time he held many ranks including Post Battalion Chief. In 1976 he became a member of the Aberdeen Lions Club where in 2007 he became a Life Member. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Aberdeen.
Mr. Duff is survived by his wife of 23 years, Peggy A. Kalmbacher Duff; son Troy Anthony Duff and fiancée, Anita, of Darlington; stepsons, Robert Delgar Huntley and wife, Vernice, of Aberdeen, Mark Sargable and wife, Donna, of Conowingo, Bruce Sargable and wife, Paula, of Aberdeen and Gary Sargable and wife, Terry, of Perryville; daughter, Rosemary Ann Duff of Darlington; stepdaughter, Bonnie Neff and husband, Steve, of Kodiak, AK; sister, Verna Lee James and husband, Roy, of Aberdeen; grandchildren, Benjamin Charles Duff and Timothy Dale Duff both of Darlington; 10 step grandchildren, 11 step great-grandchildren; cousin, Clarissa Fox; and niece, Linda McLaren.
