On Sunday, August 30, 2009, Charles J. DiPaula, age 71, died at his home in Forest Hill, MD following a two year struggle with ALS.
Charles is survived by his wife, Mary Carol; mother, Catherine DiPaula; children, Denise and Carl Shultz, Debbie and Tom Dickson, Chuck DiPaula and fiancée, Rebecca Smith; six grandchildren, Eric Shultz, Patrick Shultz, Robbie Dickson, Danielle Dickson, Garrett Dickson, and Lowen DiPaula; brothers, Joseph DiPaula and Vincent DiPaula. He was predeceased by his sister, Rosetta Cristello.
Prior to retiring in 2000, Charles worked for American District Telegraph (ADT) for twenty five years and Smithsonian Institution for ten years. For the past nineteen years, Charles and Mary Carol were active members and leaders for World Wide Marriage Encounter (WWME).
