Charles "Bud" L. Vickers, Jr., age 88, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away on December 6, 2021 at Commonwealth Care in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Baltimore, Maryland. He was the son of Charles and Margaret (Krebs) Vickers. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church, and a lifetime member of the Bel Air American Legion #39 and Jarrettsville VFW #8672. He was a member of the Homebuilders Association of Maryland and served on their board. He formed Vickers Construction in 1960 and built homes around Harford County. He started in land development in 1982 where Brentwood Park was his first development. He later became a developer of commercial land and investments. He loved walking the Ma & Pa Trail, owning and driving his late model cars, kayaking, spending time at his home in Florida and with his grandchildren.
Charles is survived by his daughter, Karen (Steve) Sutton of Basye, VA; sons, Robert Vickers of Bel Air, David Vickers of Bel Air, Andrew (Colleen) Vickers of Venice, FL, Brian Vickers of Bel Air; stepson, Jack G. Rose of Bel Air; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; two sisters, Kitty Garret, Shirley Davis.
In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by brother Robert Vickers, sister Barbara Vickers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark Catholic Church, 2407 Laurel Brook Road, Fallston, MD 21047.
