Cathleen L. King

Catherine L. King (nee "Cathleen" Guerin) 96, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2014. At the time of her death, she resided at the Residence of Glen Riddle, Media, PA. However, she was a long-time resident of Aberdeen, MD and Ocean City, MD. Besides raising her family, she was a dedicated volunteer for Meals on Wheels in Harford County for over 28 years. She wholeheartedly contributed her time and talent to many other church and community programs. She was very proud of the Irish/American heritage of the Guerin family. A Baltimorean by birth, she was loved by everyone lucky enough to know her and she returned that love in full measure every day of a wonderful life.

She was the loving daughter of the late William and Margaret (Murphy) Guerin and beloved wife of the late Vincent King. Devoted mother of Phyllis Boyda (Jack) of Glen Mills, PA, Patricia Campanaris (Perry) of Selbyville, DE, Stephen King (Sharon) of Aberdeen, MD, Jeffrey King (Traci) of Port Deposit, MD. Sadly missed by her 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. The eldest of 17 children of whom 7 survive: Nancy Gillooly, Patricia Busky, Bill, Emmett, Albert, Michael and Dennis. Loving Aunt of many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, husband and siblings, she was predeceased by her daughter, Carolyn Baker; and grandson, Christopher Vincent Campanaris.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made in her memory to St. Joan of Arc Parish School or Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland, 515 S. Haven Street, Baltimore, MD 21224.
