Catherine Philomena Lewis

CATHERINE PHILOMENA LEWIS, age 77, of Edgewood, MD, died on February 11, 2008 at her home. Born in Birmingham, England, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Mary Harvey Jones. She was a former member of St. Clair's Catholic Church in Essex, MD and a current member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Edgewood, MD for 26 years and a member of Transatlantic Brides and Parents Association of Fallston, MD. She was active at the Edgewood Senior Center and enjoyed being a volunteer at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. She also volunteered for Meals on Wheels. She loved to paint, garden and travel and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Mrs. Lewis is survived by her husband of 54 years, Willis Darwin Lewis of Edgewood, MD; five children, Elizabeth C. Blandon and her husband, Carlos R., of Edgewood, MD, Philomena T. Lewis of Edgewood, MD, W. Damian Lewis and his wife, Amy, of Linthicum, MD, Gemma L. Reed and her husband, Michael L., of Edgewood, MD, and Phillip E. Lewis and his wife, Michelle, of Bel Air, MD; two brothers, James Harvey-Jones and Vincent Harvey, both of England; thirteen grandchildren, Charles Blandon of Arlington, VA, Celeste Lewis and Danielle Lewis, both of Edgewood, MD, Lewis I.Blandon of Bowling Green, OH, Rachel Beardsley of Abingdon, MD, Karla E. Blandon and Katie R. Blandon, both of Edgewood, MD, Christopher Lewis of Edgewood, MD, Sean Reed of Edgewood, MD, Andrea Lewis and Andrew Lewis, both of Bel Air, MD, Caitlyn Reed and Ryan Reed, both of Edgewood, MD; and four great-grandchildren, Adrianna Lewis and Madisen Buelah of Edgewood, MD and Dylan and Ethan Beardsley, both of Bel Air, MD. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Albert Jones and a sister, Marguerite Gribbin.
