Catherine M. Tipton

CATHERINE M. TIPTON, age 92, of Bel Air, MD, died on July 1, 2008 at Lorien Nursing and Rehabilitation in Bel Air, MD. Born in Perryville, MD, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Wolf and Sarah Elizabeth Price Patterson and wife of the late William Howard Tipton. She owned and operated Tippy's Grocery Store in Perryville for 25 years, and worked at Perry Point Veteran's Hospital for 10 1/2 years. She was a member of St. Mark's Parish in Perryville, MD.

Mrs. Tipton is survived by a daughter, Kay F. Reed and her husband, Hammond, of Bel Air, MD; a sister, Madeline Welsh of Perryville, MD; two grandchildren, Gregory H. Reed of Abingdon, MD and Lisa Keithley of Forest Hill, MD; and five great-grandchildren, Michael and Jacob Reed of Abingdon, MD and Tyler and Alyssa Horton of Forest Hill, MD and Wyatt Keithley of Forest Hill, MD.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two sisters, Edith Olson and Jane Hawley.
