Catherine E. (Kitty) Fetchero, wife of the late Dr. Pat Fetchero, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2018 at the age of 90. She was born in Eldersburg, Maryland on June 20, 1928. She was the daughter of Loney May (Young) Shipley and Henry Allen Brown. She graduated from Forest Park High School and Union Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She continued working as an RN at Union Memorial Hospital until she moved to Harford County in 1952. She was a homemaker, a mother, and was an active member of the community and church. She helped organize the YWCA in Harford County from 1964-1970 and volunteered for Meals on Wheels for 22 years. She was a member and held office for the Harford County Ornithological Society and was a member of the Perennial Garden Club for 40 years. While in the garden club, she made flower arrangements and decorated for Ladew Gardens and Steppingstone Museum. She was an active member of Bel Air United Methodist Church since 1952 and proudly served on the Altar Guild for 33 years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed doing crafts, needlework, gardening, flower arranging, and line-dancing.
She is survived by sons Mike Fetchero (Angie), Jim Fetchero; daughter Mary Jane Ciufo (Joe), grandsons John Fetchero (Melissa) and Joey Ciufo; step-grandchildren Alyson Ford (Kevin), Michael Ciufo (Kate); great-grandson Camden Fetchero; and 5 step-great-grandsons.
