Catherine ''Kay'' M. Buettner

Catherine "Kay" M. Buettner, age 85, of Bel Air, MD, died on June 3, 2009 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Aliquippa, PA, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Barbara Zidarich Blazic. She moved to Bel Air in 1985 where she was the owner of K. Bitners Harford Inn from 1979-1996. She handled all aspects of the business such as socializing, cooking, tending bar and catering. She had also worked for Wockenfuss Candy and Overlea Catering. She loved Ocean City, dancing and watching her granddaughters play softball. Her world revolved around her sons and granddaughters.

Ms. Buettner is survived by her sons, Charles Calvin Buettner of Bel Air, MD and Bruce David Buettner and wife, Dawn, of Street, MD; siblings, Ann Narowanski of Dundalk, MD, Dorothy Halkousis of Towson, MD, Louis Blazic of Cargegie Flats and Barbara Blazic of Ocean City; and granddaughters, Courtney K. and Lindsey R. Buettner.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by a sister, Rose Kulik.
