CATHERINE ELIZABETH SNYDER, of Fallston, died at home on April 26, at the age of 93. She was a resident of Harford County for the majority of her life.
Born in York, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Charles M. and Catherine E. Lagan Burkins. In addition to being a homemaker, she worked during World War II at Glen L. Martin and in her later years worked as an upholstery seamstress. She was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Jarrettsville VFW Post 8672, where she served as Auxiliary President for several terms. Catherine became a member of Fallston United Methodist Church, formerly Friendship Methodist Church, at the age of nine and continued her membership until her death.
Mrs. Snyder is survived by her son, William B. Snyder, Jr. of Kingsville, MD; three daughters, Edna M. Carroll of Spring Grove, PA, Phyllis F. Neely of Fallston, MD, and Jacqueline A. Burns of Belleview, FL; a sister, Rose Streett of Pylesville; 12 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband of 67 years, William B. Snyder, Sr., one grandson, five brothers and three sisters.
Pallbearers will be: G. Michael Carroll, Samuel S. Fromille III, David J. Brust, Jr., Zachary C. Burns, William B. Snyder III and Jeffrey V. Snyder. Honorary pallbearers will be: George Street and Rev. Earl Ussery.
