Catherine E. Gontasz

CATHERINE E. GONTASZ, age 73, of Abingdon, died at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center on August 10, 2005. Born in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Vincent Leo and Maria Ruckelhaus Simmons. She had worked for 20 years as a school crossing guard for the Baltimore City Police Department. She was a Harford County resident and a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church for 18 years.

Mrs. Gontasz is survived by her husband, Alfred Frank Gontasz; two daughters, Susan Gontasz Dorsey and her husband, Roland W. Dorsey of Abingdon and Elizabeth Mary Gontasz of Pasadena; one sister, Marie Narvell of Dundalk; a niece, Joyce Peters of Stewartstown, PA ; and a nephew, Frank Narvell, Jr. of Dundalk.
