Casey Mcvey

Casey McVey, age 31, of Havre de Grace, Maryland passed away peacefully, with his wife Alysia by his side, listening to one of his favorite songs, on September 26, 2021. Born in Havre de Grace, Maryland, the son of Garry Eugene and Eileen Marie (Hayes) McVey and husband of Alysia Nicole (Amoriello) McVey. He was a member of the Spanish Honor Society at Aberdeen High School, graduating in 2007; he then attended Harford Community College. He was employed as a Gas Utility Mechanic with BG&E since October 2018. In High School, Casey played lacrosse and volleyball and sang in the choir. In Casey’s spare time he enjoyed playing basketball and volleyball. Casey loved all genres of music and even played the violin through his schooling until college. Casey was loved by so many, his presence made one feel like you have known him for a lifetime. Casey was the most selfless individual and willing to give the shirt off his back. He lived for his son, Owen and loved being a dad. Casey enjoyed watching NASCAR and the Tennessee Titans but most of all he loved going to the beach and being with family. When not entertained by his sports, Casey would be watching the TV Show "The Office".

In addition to his wife and parents, Casey is survived by his son, Owen Daniel McVey; brothers, Matthew, Nathan, Sean, Kevin, Ryan, and Glenn; sisters, Michelle and Anna; parents-in-law, Gregory and Karen Amoriello; sister-in-law, Megan and brother-in-law, Ryan; and niece, Rosie.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jason McVey.
