Carroll E. West, Jr.

Carroll E. West, Jr., passed away, July 4, 2010, at Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center in Baltimore, from a stroke and leukemia. He was the son of the late Carroll E. West, Sr. and Evelyn Eberly West of Aberdeen. He was the husband, for 57 years, of Audrey Nelson West; father of Tereasa Welsh and her husband Joe, Marcia Lantz and her husband Mike, Mark West, and Greg West and his wife Kim; grandfather of Sean Welsh, Kaitlyn Welsh, Chris Lantz, Alyssa Lantz, Austen West, Chelsea West, Keefer West, Mitchell West, Owen West, and Trey Moxey; great grandfather of Chloe Welsh.

Mr. West was employed at A.P.G., for 35 years, as a Physical Science Technician. After he retired he became a Building Contractor for many years. He was a baseball and basketball coach for his sons' teams for many years. He was an usher for 25 years at Grace United Methodist Church in Aberdeen, MD, where he was a member, and served on the Board of Trustees. He served in the Army in Germany during the Korean War, and was an avid Orioles, Terps and Ravens fan.
