CARROLL "DUDY" R. DEEMS, age 80, of Churchville, MD, died on December 5, 2008 at his home. Born in Baltimore, MD he was the son of the late Harry and Mary Elizabeth Thomas. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving our country during the Korean War. A faithful follower of Jesus Christ, a Harford County resident for 25 years, he was the founder of Arrow Electrical Supply from where he retired in 1993. A member of C.B.M.C., he was very involved in outreach programs and graduated from the University of Baltimore after 6 years of night school. He enjoyed sharing his faith, hunting, fishing and gardening.
Mr. Deems is survived by his wife of 58 years, Eva Joyce Ruark Deems of Churchville, MD; three sons, Mark T. Deems and wife, Martha A., of Street, MD, Allen D. Deems and wife, Linda L., of Norrisville, MD and Glenn S. Deems and wife, Nancy L., of Elkridge, MD; five grandchildren, Jennifer E. Deems of Street, MD, Emily J. Cross of Darlington, MD, David T. Deems of Street, MD, Sarah K. Deems of Elkridge, MD and Rachel V. Deems of Elkridge, MD; and great grandson Kyle D. Cross of Darlington, MD.
Pallbearers were Mark Deems, Allen Deems, Glenn Deems, David Deems, Justin Cross and Rob Murr.
