Carolyn Sue Krause, 68, of Street, Maryland, passed away on August 21, 2017 at the Hart Heritage Assisted Living Facility in Street, Maryland, of complications of Alzheimer’s . She was born on August 1, 1949 in Baltimore city. Her parents were the late Aubrey Gardiner Old and Carolyn Bell Clark. Sue spent her childhood and early adult life in the Baltimore area and graduated from Western Girls High School in Baltimore.
Shortly after graduating from High School she began a long career with Giant Foods. In 2010 after over 40 years, Sue retired. Sue loved to travel and experience the excitement and adventure of meeting new people in new places. However, her true love of life were her dogs. She bred Irish Setters and was accepted as a “Breeder of Merit” by the American Kennel Club. She showed her dogs all over the United States and Canada and won numerous championships.
She was a compassionate, loving person who instantly drew people to her. Sue leaves many friends behind who will always remember her for her welcoming smile and loving manner. Her sudden passing leaves a void in many hearts. She will be truly missed by her family, friends, and anyone lucky enough to meet her.
Sue is survived by her husband, John N. Krause. She is also survived by a brother, Aubrey Clark Old and his wife, Emmalee, a nephew, Michael Old, and three nieces: Angie Jones, Amanda Marcello, and Amy McNamee.
