Carolyn Morrison

Carolyn Morrison, age 90, of Colora, Maryland, passed away on December 27, 2024, at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Stillwater, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Bernice (Krause) MacArthur.

Carolyn was married to her beloved husband, David Morrison, for 60 wonderful years. Their journey together began with their marriage at West Nottingham Presbyterian Church in Cecil County. Before marrying, Carolyn lived and worked in Washington, D.C. She later had a fulfilling 34-year career with Famous and Spang Insurance Company in Aberdeen, Maryland.

Growing up in a farming family, Carolyn maintained her connection to the farming lifestyle as a devoted farming wife after her marriage. She and her family achieved notable success in showing beef cattle, a source of great pride and joy for her. Carolyn also enjoyed visiting her favorite lunch spot, Grumpy's in Aberdeen, Maryland, where she spent many happy moments.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, David Morrison, her brother-in-law, Paul Morrision, a brother Jack MacArthur of Florida, an Aunt Mary Helen Cooper of Texas, and numerous cousins, nieces, and a nephew. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Marilyn, and Betty MacArthur.
