Carolyn L. Burger

Carolyn Louise Burger, 72, of Bel Air, MD passed away on December 12, 2015 at the Senator Bob Hooper House in Forest Hill, MD. After being born in Baltimore, MD, Carolyn grew up in White Hall, MD and graduated from Hereford High School. After graduating from Towson (State) University, Carolyn dedicated her professional life to being an elementary school teacher for the Baltimore County Public Schools, where she taught for more than 25 years. Carolyn is the daughter of Jacqueline N. Hendrix, the late Martin L. Hendrix, she is wife of the late Robert D. Burger, who passed away on January 20, 1987, and devoted mother to her sons, Scott D. Burger and his wife Jennifer, and Jeffrey N. Burger and his wife Niki. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Carmella, Godwin, Izzy, Bronson, Augusta, and Holden in addition to her sister, Patricia Bell, and her sister-in-law Judith Burger. Carolyn was a long time member of Christ Our King Presbyterian Church and loved to spend as much time as she could with her grandchildren. When not spending time with her grandchildren, Carolyn enjoyed reading and spending time with her friends and family.

Visitation will be at the McComas Funeral Home, P.A., in Bel Air, MD on Friday, December 18th from 2-4:00 p.m. and 7-9:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Bel Air Memorial Gardens on Saturday, December 19th at 10:00 a.m. with funeral services at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Our King Presbyterian Church in Bel Air, MD, followed by a luncheon at the Church.

Pallbearers will be Robert Wishart, Janice Streeter, Carol Streeter, Jennifer Streeter, James Bell, and Scott Burger and Jeff Burger.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Kaufman Cancer Center, Upper Chesapeake Medical Center Campus, 500 Upper Chesapeake Drive, Bel Air, MD 21014.
