Carolyn Frances Karpewicz

Carolyn Frances Karpewicz, 79, of Fallston, Maryland, passed away on March 10, 2025, at St. Joseph Medical Center in Towson, Maryland.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Mary (Wastic) Meisel and the beloved wife of Ronald John Karpewicz. Carolyn and Ron met in the 1960s and were married in 1966, building a life together for nearly six decades.

A graduate of Catholic High School in Baltimore, Carolyn made her home in Harford County, where she and Ron raised their family over the course of more than 50 years. She was a dedicated homemaker and worked for many years as a bookkeeper for Carlson Travel.

Carolyn was a woman of many joys. She loved spending time in her garden, shopping, attending craft fairs, and going to lunch or tea with friends. She enjoyed taking bus trips with her siblings and friends to see Broadway shows and explore regional points of interest.

A proud grandmother, Carolyn was an amazing "Granny" to her grandchildren, Ava and Colin. She lavished them with love and attention and was a constant and loving presence in their lives.

Carolyn loved to enjoy steamed crabs with family and friends and relax with her cat. Her warm and caring spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her husband, Carolyn is survived by her son, Eric Karpewicz and his wife, Erin; grandchildren, Ava, and Colin Karpewicz; nephew, Robert "Bob" Karpewicz, Jr. his wife Lorelei and their daughter Abigail Karpewicz.; Brother Burton (Martha) Meisel; many loving in-laws, nieces and nephews; and dear friends who are like family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Delores Morland and Beverly Tracey.

A Celebration of Life is being planned at a later date.
