Carol Mccloskey Rooney

Carol McCloskey Rooney, age 84, of Joppa, Maryland passed away on May 7, 2021 at her home. Born in Warren, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Harold and Sarah (O'Brien) McCloskey and wife of the late Donald Rooney. Carol was a schoolteacher for 31 years for Baltimore City and her greatest joy was seeing her special education students graduate.
She was an avid reader, especially mysteries, and enjoyed crossword and sudoku puzzles.

Carol is survived by her daughters, Shelley Rooney, Sherry (Grady) Chavis and Sheila Rooney; grandchildren, Brandi Chavis, Philip Chavis and Sarah Harden and many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Patricia Earls and Mary Cash.
