Carol Marcin

Carol Marcin, age 63, of Bel Air, MD, died on August 13, 2009 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late John B. and Theresa Cooper. A resident of Harford County for 41 years, she grew up in Philadelphia and graduated from Millersville University. It was at Millersville where she met her husband, Stephen, who she married in 1968. She was a teacher at Homestead-Wakefield Elementary School and later taught at Towson State University. For the past 15 years, Carol translated her love of travel into being an agent at Travel Maker's Travel Agency. She enjoyed taking trips with her husband and friends, going to the beach with her family, shopping for jewelry and doing the Sunday crossword puzzle. While Carol had many personal and professional accomplishments in her life, her happiest and proudest time was spent being a loving wife, mother, and Mom-Mom to her two grandchildren.

Mrs. Marcin is survived by her husband, Stephen Marcin of Bel Air, MD; son, Stephen Todd Marcin and wife, Kelly, of Bel Air, MD; daughter, Tracy Marcin of Newark, DE; brother, John "Jackie" Cooper and wife, Maya, of Villanova, PA; and two grandchildren, Taylor Nicole and Alexander Paul Marcin.
