Carol Ann Flora

Carol Ann Flora, age 69, of Bel Air, MD, died on July 7, 2009 at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick, MD. Born in Flint, MI, she was the daughter of the late Forest Lavern and Dorothy May Henderson Merrill and wife of the late Charles Michael Flora. A teacher for Harford County Public Schools, she was a longtime member of Christ Our King Presbyterian Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She was a dedicated grandmother who loved gardening, golf and traveling, as well as being an avid birder.

Mrs. Flora is survived by a son, Michael Flora and his wife, Trish, of New Market, MD; a daughter, Leslie A. Flora and her husband, Mark T. Boyle, of Mt. Airy, MD; brother, F.J. Merrill and his wife, Irene, of Annandale, VA; and grandchildren, Alyson Grace Flora, Tessa Layne Flora and Charles Michael Flora.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sisters, Orpha McNaughton and Rosemary Singleton.
