Carmen Louise Calloway, age 55, of Edgewood, Maryland passed away on January 2, 2022 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland. Born on January 13, 1966 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Marion Jean (Anderson) Calloway and the late Clifford Calloway. She was a 1984 graduate of Western Senior High School and worked as a Head Teller at M&T Bank - Woodbridge Branch for 35 years. She loved her family very much, and she especially loved caring for her nieces and nephew. Carmen enjoyed listening to all types of music, “The Preachers Wife” soundtrack and “The Sound of Music” was a few of her favorites. She also loved singing, camping, eating her favorite dish “Spaghetti”, hanging out with her friends, vacationing, speaking Spanish fluently with her mother, nieces and nephews and watching television and movies; especially - “It’s A Wonderful Life.” Carmen enjoyed decorating and celebrating every holiday throughout the year, especially Christmas, Halloween and Easter. She gave each holiday her own unique touch, which made it extra special.
Carmen is survived by her sisters, Rhonda T. Sanders, Melissa M. Calloway and Robin R. Anderson and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and a host of family and special friends.
Donations in memory of Carmen may be sent via the collection box at the rear of the chapel on January 18th & 19th or to Marion Calloway and Family, c/o Carmen Calloway, 1820 Grempler Way, Edgewood, MD 21040. Foundation to be chosen at a later date.
