Carlton Joseph Conway

            CARLTON J CONWAY, age 88, of Bel Air, MD, died on December 17, 2023 at Senator Bob Hooper House in Forest Hill, MD.   Born and raised in Forty Fort, PA, he was the husband of the late Althea J. Conway. Carl enjoyed golfing and also was an avid Baltimore Orioles and Ravens fan.  Carl was a season ticket holder for the University of Maryland Terps basketball for 40 years.  He was still working at his business, Conway Construction and he founded Conway Management Company in the early 1980’s.

            He participated in many community organizations including the Bel Air Lions Club and the Bel Air Kiwanis Club.

            Mr. Conway is survived by daughter Carol Shock and her husband, Douglas, of Bel Air; daughter Deborah Strawbridge and her husband, John, of Forest Hill; and four granddaughters, Megan (Aaron) Klag, Emily Strawbridge (fiancé Tyler Williams), Kristen Shock, and Sarah Strawbridge (fiancé Sean Chesney).  Carl is also survived by his sister Lorain Bilby and her husband Russel of West Wyoming, PA.
