Carlos Goncalves

CARLOS GONCALVES, age 57, of Abingdon, MD, formerly of New Bedford, MA, died on November 3, 2006 at Harford Memorial Hospital, Havre de Grace, MD. Born in Covas De Barroso, Portugal, he was the son of the late Venancio and Maria Celeste Goncalves. He had worked for Valley Crest Landscaping in Boston, MA. He enjoyed gardening, traveling and reading and loved music, dancing and singing. He was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Forest Hill and St. Anthony Catholic Church in New Bedford, MA.

Mr. Goncalves is survived by his wife of 36 years, Bertilia Gomes Goncalves of Abingdon, MD; one son, Michael G. Goncalves of San Diego, CA; three daughters, Maria G. Goncalves of Abingdon, MD, Paula M. Teves of Bel Air, MD and Cathy G. Goncalves of Abingdon, MD; two brothers, Felicio Goncalves of New Bedford, MA and Luciano Goncalves of Savoci, France; three sisters, Maria C. Martins of Acushnet, MA, Lucilia Martins of Acushnet, MA and Candida Alves of Milford, MA; and three grandchildren, Caitlin Teves of Bel Air, MD, Andrew A. Teves of Bel Air, MD and Cameron A Teves of Abingdon, MD.
