Carl W. Moore

Carl W. Moore, age 72, of Nottingham, MD, died on November 17, 2009 Gilchrist Hospice in Baltimore, MD. Born in Brady, WV, he was the son of the late Edward and Florence Winona Hostutler Moore. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served from 1955-59 aboard the U.S.S. Yosemite, a destroyer tender. Raised in Pittsburgh, PA, he worked as forms carpenter most of his life with Local 132 in Washington, DC, as well as, in quality control and as a warehouseman for Morrisson, Knudsen. An avid reader, he enjoyed watching football, his favorite team being the Baltimore Colts and the Miami Dolphins.

Mr. Moore is survived by his wife, Carolyn Judith Moore of Nottingham, MD; daughters, Carla Cole of Marbleton, WY, Pamela Jean Moore of Columbia City, IN, Katherine E. Bella of Newport News, VA, and Rose W. Butts of Pasadena, MD; stepchildren, Joy Y. Kabella of Omaha, NE and James R. Hainley of Bel Air, MD; sister, Sylvia Wise of Holbrook, PA; 17 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
