Carl Taylor, age 84, of Edgewood, MD, passed away on April 23, 2013. Born in Duty, VA, he was the son of the late William and Mary Magdalene McFadden Taylor and husband of the late Lena M. Ervin Taylor. He retired, after 34 years, from General Motors where he was an inspector. An avid Corvette enthusiast, he was a member of the Retired Auto Workers of Baltimore and the Masons in Bel Air. He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed watching football and playing his steel guitar.
Mr. Taylor is survived by his son, William C. Taylor and wife, Evelyn R., of Abingdon, MD; daughter, Linda T. Priddy of Springfield, VA; brothers, Clifford Taylor of Bel Air, MD, Avery Taylor of Ocean City, MD and Rayford D. Taylor of Edgewood, MD; sisters, Beulah Compton of Longwood, FL and Violet Livingstone of Edgewood, MD; grandchildren, Michael Taylor of Abingdon, MD, Lisa M. Gulbranson of Springfield, VA and Brett D. Priddy of Burke, VA; and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his brothers, Claude and Elmer Taylor and sister, Avis C. Rossier.
