CARL CLARENCE VAN EVERA, age 85, of Bel Air, died at his residence on March 10, 2003. Born in Shanghai, China, he was the son of the late Kepler and Pauline Wurster Van Evera. He had retired from Western Electric and AT&T where he was a communication engineer. He was a member of the Lions Club of Bel Air, Christ Our King Church, Mann House, and the Pioneers. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WW II.

Mr. Van Evera is survived by his wife since July 1942, Mary Patricia Andrews Van Evera; one son, Richard K. Van Evera of Belvedere, Illinois; one daughter, Patricia Lynn Kuhnle of Davenport, Iowa; one sister, Louise Person of Springfield, Missouri; and three grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bel Air Lions Club Foundation, P.O. Box 167, Bel Air, MD 21014 or to Christ Our King Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, 10 Lexington Rd., Bel Air, MD 21014.
