Charles Kenneth Peak of Ocean City, Maryland, formerly of Darlington, Maryland passed away on Monday, January 4, 2016. He is survived by his daughter, Kristin L Ryan (Paul), two step-granddaughters, one step great-grandson, his loving partner, Virginia Ayers and five sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gale D. Peak and Mary Virginia Peak, a brother, James D. Peak, a sister, Coriene Higgins and, his wife of 32 years, Joyce A Peak.
Ken was self-employed until his retirement in 2000. He was known for quality work in the furniture repair and refinishing trade. Always meticulous, he built a huge clientele with many repeat customers. Later in life he started his own small engine repair business where he again was quickly known for his excellent work and had a thriving business. However, during his wife, Joyce's, extended illness he took time off and lovingly cared for her until the end.
Ken loved gardening, bird watching, being outdoors and spending time with his family and his grand dog, Elliot. He enjoyed the years he had with Virginia and in the last year of his life she devoted herself to caring for him.
