Burnis Grey Neal, age 91 of Bel Air, MD passed peacefully at home on December 27, 2012.
Born in Hinton, AL on August 27, 1921 to the late Jesse and Emma Neal. He served in the US Army for twenty years, retiring as Master Sergeant from the Tech Escort Unit. While stationed at Edgewood Arsenal he met and married the late, Alice Holmes Neal and they raised three children in Bel Air.
He was an avid woodworker, fisherman, gardener and golfer. After retirement he mastered the game of golf and at age eighty-four, he proudly achieved a hole-in-one, as well as shooting his age multiple times. More than all else he loved being surrounded by family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of thirty years, Mary Jane (nee Morris) Neal; daughter Shirley Neal Ralston and husband Terry of Houston TX; son Edward G Neal and wife Molly of Forest Hill, MD; sister Ottis (Baby) Martin of Meridian, MS; grandchildren, Chris, Joanne, Lisa, Crystal, Christian, Nathan, Erin, six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by son Robert (Bob) D Neal.
