Brucie Greer

Mrs. Brucie Katherine Burkett Greer, went home to be with the Lord on December 11, 2008 at Oak Crest Village in Baltimore. She was born in Jefferson, NC and raised in Grassy Creek, NC until around the age of six, when her family relocated to Harford County, MD. At a young age, she accepted the Lord Jesus as her Savior. She later married and had four children. As a long time resident of Upper Crossroads, she and her family attended Upper Crossroads Baptist Church for over 70 years. Brucie was an avid homemaker, a wonderful cook, and a flower and vegetable gardener. She also worked for a period of time as a cafeteria worker for the Harford County public schools. She is best remembered for her love for the Bible, her beautiful flowers, her delicious fruits and vegetables from the trees and gardens, and scrumptious Sunday afternoon dinners.

Mrs Greer is predeceased by her husband of 41 years, Isadore Greer, her daughter, Patricia Greer Jones, two brothers, Clay and Bryan, and three sisters, Vinnie, Addie, and Grace, and one grandchild, Rachel Nicole Greer. She is survived by a brother, Edward Burkett of Jacksonville, FL and three children, Shelby Hunt of Greers Ferry, AR, Lorraine Staton of Belcamp, MD, and Keith Greer of Worthington, OH. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren with one more on the way.
