Bruce E. Roberts

Bruce E. Roberts, 89, of Joppa, MD passed away on September 2, 2017 at his home. Born in Panther, WV, he was the son of Rev. Melvin Roberts and Victoria Roberts. He worked as a coal miner in West Virginia for 5years, and then for Bethlehem Steel where he retired after 30 years of service. He loved to hunt, garden, play guitar and banjo.

Mr. Roberts is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Lou Fanny (Estep) Roberts; daughters, Linda Sue Bandy of Aberdeen, Sheila Kay Christian (Chris) of Bramwell, WV, Ellen Diane Hartman (Scott) of Darlington and Tammy Lynn Ruff (Richard) of Jarrettsville; 11 grandchildren and 11great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Roger Gray Bandy and his siblings, Gladys Edwards, Octavia Duty, George Roberts, Halsey Roberts, Stella Bailey, Alice Vance, and Virgie Duty.
