Bruce Bancroft White

Bruce Bancroft White, age 77, of Bel Air, MD passed away on February 1, 2016 at Gilchrist Hospice in Towson, MD. He was the devoted husband for 45 years to the late Jean Unverzagt White.

Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Wilbur Rouser White and Virginia Elizabeth (Beach) White. He served as a Corporal in the U.S. Marines from 1956-60. He moved to Harford County in 1968 where he became a resident of Bel Air and a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. He retired from BGE after 34 years of service where he worked as a Senior System Planning Technician. He enjoyed researching family genealogy. He volunteered with the Red Cross and made regular blood donations (128 units). He loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Mr. White is survived by his sons, Eric D. White and wife, Laurie, of Bel Air and Ernest D. White and wife, Gina, of Pittsburgh, PA; daughter, Cynthia L. Bond and husband, Pete, of Delta, PA; grandchildren, Anthony White, Brian White and wife, Kelly, Emily Grden and husband, Dan, and Anna White; and great-grandchild, Delaney…with one more (Grden) on the way.
