Brigitte Wianka Puckett

Brigitte Wianka Puckett, age 81, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away on November 24, 2023, at Senator Bob Hooper House in Forest Hill, Maryland. Born in Potsdam, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Franz Gunter and Johanna (Rohrs) Wianka and wife of 59 years to Rufus Puckett, Jr. She owned and operated Oma's Toy Box and owned an Antique store in Aberdeen in the 1980’s.  She was an amazing artisan.  She restored and reconditioned antique dolls, toys, and Steiff Bears.  She enjoyed gardening and nature, especially walking the promenade in Havre de Grace, talking to all who passed by.  She was also a great baker and cook.  She had studied design in high school in Germany.  She was a talented seamstress, and craftsperson.  She loved her animals, especially her cats.  
     
In addition to her husband, Brigitte is survived by her sons, Tom (Elizabeth) Puckett and Bob (Anita) Puckett; daughters, Susanne (Dan) Rising and Kim (Jeffrey) Ewers; grandchildren, Tom Puckett, Alex Puckett, Jennifer Wyatt, Bobby Puckett, Griffin Pearce, Bennett Pearce, and Ethan Ewers; great-granddaughters, Alina Chambers and Avery and Kennedy Wyatt; great-grandsons, Eli Puckett and Ben Puckett and sister, Erika Voelkel.

In addition to her parents, Brigitte was preceded in death by grandchild, Kevin Puckett, and sister, Gerti Wianka.
