Brenda Joyce Cook (née Ham), a resident of Havre de Grace, MD died on July 5, 2016 at Harford Memorial Hospital. She was 69 years old. She was born in Lansing, NC to Farlie Fred Ham Sr. and Ora Aulsie Ham (née Carpenter). She was blessed with a large loving family and enjoyed spending time with her 4 sisters, 4 brothers, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and multiple generations of nieces and nephews. She was a longtime member of Carsins Run Baptist Church and enjoyed church activities and working with children in Sunday school, Nursery, Awana Club, and Vacation Bible School. Brenda cherished her time spent caring for her Day Care children including very dear to her heart, Chris and Mark, Roseanna, Megan and Katie, and Harry and James.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years Charles Cook; her daughter Tina Cook and Michael Busse of Aberdeen; her brothers Herbert Ham Sr. of Havre de Grace, Farlie Ham Jr. of Rising Sun, Barry Ham of Port Deposit; her sisters Betty Phillips of Aberdeen, Wanda Smith of Statesville, NC, Patsy Mullins of Chesapeake City and Margie Plummer of Aberdeen; and several generations of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Donald Ham Sr.
A reception will be held at the Carsins Run Baptist Church after the interment.
