Bradford Willson McGibney, age 99, of Joppa, MD passed away on November 21, 2018 at his home. Born in Darlington, MD, he was the son of Philip and Emily (Holloway) McGibney and husband of the late Margaret (Heaps) McGibney. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served our country in WWII in combat infantry as a rifleman. He was wounded in the Battle of the Bulge and a Purple Heart recipient, World War II Victory Medal, a European African Middle Eastern Theater Medal with a Bronze Star and an American Theater Medal. He retired as an Engineering Technician from Edgewood Arsenal. He was a member of Masonic Lodge - Mt. Arratt - Bel Air for over 60 years and was a member of Mt. Vernon Methodist Church and Presbury United Methodist Church in Edgewood. He was a coin collector, enjoyed playing the lottery, collecting guns and doing home improvements.
Mr. McGibney is survived by his son, Timothy W. McGibney of Timonium; daughter, Melissa (Albert) S. Parkinson of Joppa; grandchildren, Todd W. and Aaron T. McGibney, Myles S. Parkinson, Kelly L. Carbonell and Kyla E.R. Parkinson; great-grandchildren, Amelia Carbonell, Natalia Carbonell and Katelyn McGibney; and brother, Forwood McGibney of Whiteford.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Melrose Margaret Scarborough and Emily Blackburn, and brother, Philip Forwood McGibney, Jr.
