Bonnie Gail Mackey, aged 80, of Fallston, Maryland, passed away on May 13, 2024, at Bayview Medical Center. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the cherished daughter of the late Robert and Garnet (Woody) Stafford and beloved wife of Ronald W. Mackey.
Bonnie embraced life with a zest for adventure and a love for her family that knew no bounds. She found joy in traveling, camping, and the culinary arts, particularly in cooking birthday dinners and holiday meals, and baking for both. She is especially known for her world-famous pound cake. However, her greatest treasure was her family, and she found immense happiness in their company. Bonnie and her husband Ronald shared a passion for dancing and were esteemed members of the Bel Air Corvette Club for many memorable years.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving son, Douglas Wayne (Deana) Mackey, and devoted daughter, Kelly Leigh (Brian) McLaughin. She is also survived by her dear brother, Terry (Joan) Stafford, her sister-in-law, Toni Stafford, her adored grandchildren, Krista (Mike) Quair, Logan Mackey, and Marlee Mackey, as well as her step grandchildren, Lauren (Alex) Platt and Paige (Ken) Dockal, along with her step great-grandchildren, Liam and Oliver Platt.
Bonnie was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Robert Stafford, leaving behind cherished memories and an indelible legacy of love and devotion.
Bonnie's laughter, kindness, and unwavering love will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in eternal peace.
