Bobby L. Overbay

BOBBY L. OVERBAY, age 70, of Street, MD, died on June 4, 2006 at his home.

Born in Marion, VA, he was the son of the late David Sylvannis and Gertrude Carter Overbay.

He was a body and fender mechanic. His family said that he loved to play shuffleboard and sing karaoke. They also said that he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Mr. Overbay is survived by his wife Jean Anne Overbay of Street, MD, with whom he shared 50 years of marriage; two sons, Robert W. Overbay of Raleigh, NC and A. Scott Overbay of Bel Air, MD; two daughters, Chyrl A. Ness of Fallston, MD and Donna J. Cox of Churchville, MD; two sisters, Gladys Parks and Louise Croy, both of Street, MD; 8 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at the McComas Funeral Home, P.A. in Abingdon on Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at 1 PM with Rev. Peter L. Haynes officiating. Interment will be in the Long Green Valley Church of the Brethren Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Hamilton, Earl Croy, Jr., Steve Flemke, Douglas Parks, Dean Hooper and Fred Hooper.
