Bob Keesling

ROBERT L. KEESLING, age 76, of Glen Arm, MD, died on January 10, 2008 at Glen Meadows Retirement Community in Glen Arm, MD. Born in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Harold Dale and Willie Bolton Pierce Keesling. Formerly of Joppatowne and Bel Air, he grew up in Louisville, KY. He retired from Clarke-American printing company after 43 years and then moved to Ocean Pines, MD. An Army veteran, he served our country during the Korean War. He loved baseball, golfing, traveling and gardening, and also worked seasonally for the Delmarva Shorebirds in Salisbury, MD. He was a member of Kiwanis in Ocean Pines and a former member of the Jaycees in Kentucky, as well as former chairman and member of the Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) in Salisbury. He was an active member of Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church in Joppatowne, MD and Buckingham Presbyterian Church in Berlin, MD.

Mr. Keesling is survived by his wife of 57 years, Viola Katherine Lowe Keesling of Glen Arm, MD; one son, Robert Lewis Keesling Jr. and his wife, Mary Kate, of Bel Air, MD; a daughter, Donna Kay Keesling and her husband, R. Eric Harting of Holliston, MA; and three grandchildren, Patrick O. Keesling, Caroline M. Keesling, and, Emily A. Keesling, all of Bel Air.
