Billy C., Fowler, Sr.

BILLY C. FOWLER, SR., 72, of Bel Air, Maryland, died on April 3, 2003 at Perry Point Veterans Hospital, Perryman, Maryland. Born in Jefferson, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Dewey Franklin and Bessie Mae Hurley Fowler. He was a factory worker for 35 years at Bata Shoe Co., Belcamp, Maryland, until his illness last year. Mr. Fowler loved a beautiful lawn, if a leaf fell, he would run to try to catch it. He enjoyed getting together with friends and family for meals and fellowship. He served in the Army during WWII.

Mr. Fowler is survived by a son, Billy C. Fowler, Jr. of Bel Air, Maryland; a daughter, Connie Morrison of Baltimore, Maryland; three brothers, Frank W. Fowler of Darlington, Maryland, Howard R. Fowler of Augusta, Georgia and Rex R. Fowler of Sparta, North Carolina; four sisters, Dallas Crouse of Sparta, North Carolina, Ethel Gambill of Sparta, North Carolina, Hazel McGrady of Piney Creek, North Carolina and Lillie Miller of Bel Air, Maryland; and two grandchildren, Billy Joseph Fowler and Stephanie Kay Fowler, both of Bel Air, Maryland.
