Billie Jean Little

Billie Jean Little (nee Kestner), age 73, of Aberdeen, MD, died on May 29, 2010 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Saltville, VA, she was the daughter of the late George David Kestner and Margaret Anne Carlton Doane, and wife of the late Newman Larry Little Jr. Growing up in West Virginia, she graduated from Mullens High School, later serving in the U.S. Navy from November 1954 to July 1955. She was married in 1956 and moved to Baltimore County and from there to Harford County in 1977; Calvert County in 1980; and back to Harford County in 1987 after her husband died. She worked as a realtor and was also an administrative assistant at the University of Maryland-Chesapeake Biological Laboratories. She also worked at the U.S. Army Ordnance Center and School, GEO Centers, and LB&B Associates at Aberdeen Proving Ground. She enjoyed reading, going to Ocean City once a year, and loved her family, church, and the Lord.

Mrs. Little is survived by her sons, Kevin L. Little of Belcamp, MD, Gregory D. Little of Rising Sun, MD, and Scott C. Little of Joppatowne, MD; daughters, Tanya R. Shoff and Carolyn E. Little, both of Bel Air, MD; sister, Mildred Carrie Morehead of NC; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
